Zlatan Ibile & Davita Omoniyi Celebrate Yoruba Heritage in Lemon Yellow and Mint Green

Lemon yellow and mint green made their case as the colour combination of the season at Zlatan Ibile and Davita Omoniyi's traditional wedding. The couple, whose full names are Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael and Davita Omoniyi, stepped into their second outfit change of the day in coordinated custom pieces by Mazelle Bridal, styled by Goodnews Emmanuel Icon. After honouring Davita's Edo heritage in their first look, this chapter belonged to Zlatan's Yoruba roots.

Davita wore a custom lemon-yellow gown with a corset-style bodice, a sweetheart-inspired neckline and long sleeves with flared cuffs. Mint-green appliqué in swirling, floral-inspired patterns ran across the bodice and fitted floor-length skirt, with gold-toned accents adding depth throughout. She finished the look with a large pleated lemon-yellow gele, sheer fabric draped over her arm, a green statement necklace, matching earrings and a mint-green clutch.

Zlatan held his own in a custom mint-green agbada featuring subtle embroidery across the chest. A structured fila, layers of white beads and a carved green walking stick tied the look together from head to toe.

The soft pastel palette felt like a deliberate exhale, unhurried and warm, a beautiful contrast to whatever burgundy and ivory energy opened the day. If this is what Nigerian wedding outfit changes look like in 2025, the fashion bar has officially been raised.
