Here is why lovers of Afrobeats and good music might have the time of their lives at a Young Jonn concert home or abroad.
There are artists who perform their hits, producers who get behind the decks to play records they helped create, and then there is Young Jonn, whose journey through Nigerian music allows him to do both.
At his recent London show, Young Jonn offered a glimpse into what makes his live performances different. The audience did not just get Young Jonn the artist, performing songs from the chapter of his career that has seen him successfully transition into a recording star. They also got Young Jonn the producer, revisiting some of the records that helped define an earlier era of Nigerian pop music.
And that combination makes a Young Jonn concert a particularly interesting experience for anyone who has followed Afrobeats over the years.
