Stefanie Kim Ladewig was behind the wheel of an SUV in Istanbul's Mithatpaşa neighbourhood at around 3:10 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, when a three-vehicle collision brought traffic to a halt and sent the internet into a quiet panic. The 26-year-old model and girlfriend of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen was eight months pregnant at the time of the crash.
According to Turkey's Demirören News Agency, Ladewig rear-ended a light commercial vehicle, lost control of her SUV, and then struck another SUV coming from the opposite direction. All three vehicles were damaged in the incident. Remarkably, no injuries were reported on the scene.
Out of caution, Ladewig visited a private hospital in Istanbul for a check-up given how far along her pregnancy is. She was found to be in good condition and discharged after the necessary examinations. That detail alone will have fans breathing a sigh of relief.
