Tolu Daniel, Nigerian writer and scholar, is now part of the Saraba Magazine family. The magazine announced on 12 October that Daniel is joining as Editor-at-Large, bringing his editorial eye to the publication's nonfiction work specifically.
For Saraba, a literary magazine with roots in Nigerian independent publishing, this is a meaningful move. Nonfiction is having a real moment across African literary spaces, and having a dedicated editor-at-large steering that charge signals the magazine is taking the form seriously.
