President Bola Tinubu has approved ₦10 billion for Ebola preparedness and established a Presidential Task Force to coordinate the country's response to the threat.
Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to the President, will chair the task force. Membership is drawn from relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies, as well as representatives from state governments across the country.
With funding now committed and a senior-level chair in place, the big question is how quickly this task force moves from formation to action.
