Stanbic IBTC Holdings disclaims WhatsApp scheme offering investment opportunities

A fake WhatsApp scheme is making rounds online, and Stanbic IBTC Holdings wants you to know it has nothing to do with them. The financial group has come out to publicly disclaim the fraudulent posts circulating on social media, which are using the image of Busola Jejelowo, CEO of Stanbic IBTC Asset Management Limited, alongside the Stanbic IBTC Stockbrokers logo to lure unsuspecting people into bogus investment opportunities.

This kind of scam preys on the trust people place in established financial institutions, and the fact that real names and real branding are being weaponised makes it all the more dangerous. Seeing a familiar face or a recognisable logo can be enough to make someone lower their guard.

If you receive any messages on WhatsApp or other platforms promising investment deals and claiming to represent Stanbic IBTC, verify directly through the company's official channels before taking any action. Your money and your data are worth that extra step.
