Spotify has announced a new system designed to identify artist profiles that use AI-generated, human-like identities as the streaming platform continues to address the growing presence of artificial intelligence in music.
The new “AI Personas” label will help listeners distinguish between profiles representing real people and those presenting an AI-generated identity.
Spotify said the label is focused specifically on the identity of an artist rather than how their music was created. This means an artist can use AI as part of their creative process without necessarily being classified as an AI Persona.
