Police in Kwara State have arrested four people in connection with two separate cases involving human body parts. The cases include missing human heads and what authorities describe as suspected ritual hands.
In the first case, the suspects named a herbalist as the alleged buyer of the missing heads. In the second, those arrested reportedly planned to use the body parts for money-making rituals.
With two cases emerging in the same state around the same time, questions about the scale of ritual-related crime in Kwara are already being asked loudly.
