As Egypt accelerates its ambition to become a fully digital economy by 2030, telecommunications operators are finding themselves at the centre of one of the country's most important economic transformations.
For Orange Egypt, the challenge extends far beyond providing mobile connectivity. The company is positioning itself as a key enabler of Egypt's digital future through investments in network infrastructure, data centres and financial technology while simultaneously navigating one of the most competitive telecommunications markets on the continent.
"Network excellence remains the foundation of everything we are building," says Hesham Mahran, CEO and managing director of Orange Egypt. "Our objective is to support Egypt's transition to a digital economy while deepening our role as a trusted partner for consumers, enterprises and government."
The strategy reflects both the scale of Egypt's opportunity and the pace at which demand for digital services is growing. With a population exceeding 100 million people and around half under the age of 25, Egypt represents one of the largest and youngest digital consumer markets in Africa and the Middle East.
