Olamide is not waiting for anyone. The YBNL head honcho has dropped a brand new single, Burukutu, complete with a TG Omori-directed visual, and used the moment to announce his 13th studio album, Time and Space, due November 16, 2026. The project follows his self-titled Olamidé from last year, and if this single is any indication, he is arriving with something to say.
The song takes its name from the traditional fermented grain drink enjoyed across parts of Nigeria, and the energy matches perfectly. Produced by Blaisebeatz, it opens on a party chant and builds into sharp Yoruba flows that touch on hustle, leisure and street-level celebration. It feels like a record made for the people who already know, and for everyone else to catch up.
The video, directed by TG Omori, plays between two distinct worlds. In one, Olamide holds court in a glowing red corridor wearing a double-breasted suit, dark sunglasses and dreadlocks. In the other, an earthen-toned courtyard fills with background dancers in structured white outfits, pillbox hats and pearl detailing. He also picks up a saxophone in several scenes, performing alongside live brass musicians, which adds a whole other layer to the visual.
No tracklist for Time and Space has dropped yet, but Burukutu is more than enough to hold you over until it does.
