Nigerians Abroad — How Nigerian Footballers Performed in Europe

Nigerian football fans watch their favorite players play in Europe all the time. Many people enjoy reading sports news, following game results, and even checking different sports markets, such as floorball betting, as they wait for football games to begin. The performance of Nigerian football players in some of the world's top leagues, however, is often of the greatest interest.

Seasons are never the same. While one player spends months recuperating from an injury or battling for a spot in the starting lineup, another may finish with his best goal total. That's just an aspect of football. Nonetheless, Nigerian football players are still making an impression across Europe. They perform in England, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Belgium, and many other countries.

Once again, Nigeria's attacking players provided plenty of conversation starters. At the center of it all was Victor Osimhen, who kept proving why he is one of the most dangerous attackers in Europe. He's constantly trying to be on the end of a cross, press defenders, or create a run. He keeps defenders occupied and makes room for the teammates around him even when he isn't scoring. He continues to be a crucial member of both the team and the nation because of that kind of work.

It was a different kind of season for Samuel Chukwueze. Even if his name wasn't always the first on the team sheet, he nevertheless had moments that made everyone realize how talented he was. Particularly late in games when there was more room to attack, his speed, quick feet, and confidence with the ball frequently caused difficulties for defenders. He can undoubtedly have an even greater impact in the upcoming seasons if he gets regular playing time.
