Nigerian rapper A-Q attacked in Ghana

Around 10 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, Nigerian rapper A-Q was taking a walk in East Legon, Accra, when approximately 10 masked men riding five motorcycles surrounded him. The passengers swung machetes at him, and he took a blow to his elbow while shielding his head from the strikes.

Despite the injuries, A-Q managed to break free and run across the road. A stranger stopped, pulled him into their car, and rushed him to Lister Hospital along Airport Hills Boulevard, where he was taken directly into surgery.

In a public statement, A-Q confirmed that the incident has been reported to the Ghana Police Service and is currently under investigation. He said he is now in a safe location while police work to identify the attackers and establish a motive.

The rapper closed his statement with gratitude, thanking the good Samaritan who got him to safety and the medical team who treated him. What prompted the attack remains unknown, and many are watching closely to see what the investigation uncovers.
