Dr. Usman Ahmed, a doctor from Jigawa State, is now the man steering Nigeria's physiotherapy profession. He was elected National President of the Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy at the organisation's Annual General Meeting, held in Kano.
Ahmed did not step into the role alone. Ten other executive officers were elected alongside him at the same AGM, meaning an entirely fresh leadership team now heads the society.
With a new president and a full executive in place, the question on every physiotherapist's mind is simple: what comes next for the profession?
