Meet Solange Omon, the 21-Year-Old Cameroonian Model Who Made Her Victoria’s Secret Runway Debut

Solange Omon walked onto the Victoria's Secret runway in Los Angeles wearing illuminated golden wings with embedded warm lights and a sweeping bronze metallic train, holding the edges of the fabric as it floated behind her. Midway through, she turned to the cameras, smiled, twirled, and gestured to the crowd. It was her first time on that stage, and she made it look like she had always belonged there.

The 21-year-old Cameroonian model earned her spot after beating over 100,000 applicants in Angels Among Us, the brand's open casting search documented in a YouTube series. She was named the winner and awarded a one-year modelling contract with IMG Models alongside her runway debut. The other two finalists were Andreína Martínez and Tatyana Tinsley.

Born in Cameroon as the eldest of six children, Solange has been living in Lewiston, Maine, where she balanced university coursework with work as a programme coordinator at a local non-profit. Her day-to-day focused on helping Black and immigrant teenagers apply for jobs, connect with mentors, and access higher education resources. She brought that same grounded energy to her open casting call in Chicago, where it all began.

For her runway look, she wore a contrast ivory and black lace lingerie set, a plunge bra with high-cut briefs, oversized gold hoop drop earrings, and those show-stopping wings. Simple, striking, and entirely hers.

Solange Omon is 21, she has her wings, and she is just getting started.
