Lagos Fashion Week 2026 Kicks Off Today! Dates, Venue, Designers & What to Wear

Tiered ruffles, tailored white co-ords, and structured Aso-Oke dresses are already flooding timelines, and Lagos Fashion Week 2026 has only just begun. Running from Wednesday, 28th October to Sunday, 1st November 2026, Africa's most-watched fashion event is officially open, bringing five full days of runway shows, street style moments, and creative energy to Victoria Island.

Organised by Style House Files, this year's edition carries the theme "CRAFTED: Heritage. Innovation. Circular Futures." The focus is squarely on sustainable, locally rooted craft with a global reach. Through programmes like Green Access and the Fashion Business Series, the event spotlights zero-waste tailoring, circular design, and fresh interpretations of traditional African textiles including handwoven Aso-Oke, Akwete, and indigo-dyed Adire.

The runway lineup reads like a who's who of African fashion. Lisa Folawiyo, Andrea Iyamah, Ejiro Amos Tafiri, Ugo Monye, Fruché, Abiola Olusola, Christie Brown, Cute Saint, Bloke, and Emmy Kasbit are all expected to deliver season-defining collections. Alongside the established names, the Green Access cohort will present mini-collections that put the next generation of circular designers firmly in the conversation. Several presentations will also move beyond the standard catwalk to include live artisan weaving, raw fabric production, and intricate beadwork displays.

The pavement outside the LagosFW tents is carrying just as much weight as the runway inside. Street style stars, content creators, and fashion editors are pulling up to Victoria Island with their best looks, and the styling cues coming through already point to structured silhouettes, bold textile work, and heritage references worn with full confidence.

Whether you are there in person or watching every outfit drop from your screen, this is the week African fashion sets the tone for the season ahead.
