Kano's Governor has renominated Kabiru Namadi as commissioner, just months after Namadi stepped down from the same role amid public outcry.
Namadi resigned in August 2025 after controversy erupted over his involvement in securing bail for Sulaiman Danwawu, a man accused of being a drug baron. The backlash was intense enough to push him out of office at the time.
Now the governor is bringing him back. Whether that decision sits well with the people of Kano remains the question worth watching.
