A missile fired by Yemen's Houthi forces struck Riyadh's main airport, killing 12 people and leaving 309 others injured. Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation confirmed the death toll and identified the nationalities of those who lost their lives.
The victims came from across the region and beyond. Four were Saudi nationals. The remaining eight held passports from Bangladesh (two people), and one each from the United States, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Palestine and Sudan.
Saudi Arabia has vowed retaliation following the attack. What that response looks like, and when it comes, is the question the region is now watching closely.
