Here are the only Nigerian artists on Apple Music’s Best Songs of 2026 List

Five songs. That is how many Nigerian acts needed to make Apple Music's Best Songs of 2026 list, released Friday, November 6th, and the country's fingerprints are all over it. Wizkid, Tems, Asake, BNXN, and Victony all secured spots, spread across collaborations and solo records that clearly moved the needle on the global stage this year.

Wizkid is the standout name on the list, appearing twice, more than any other Nigerian act. He shows up on "PONGO", a link-up with Jamaican producer Rvssian and Puerto Rican singer Rauw Alejandro, and again on "Jogodo", his collab with Asake. Two entries, two completely different sonic worlds. Classic Wiz.

Tems holds it down on her own with "What You Need", a solo record that continues her run as one of the most consistent Nigerian voices in global music right now. BNXN brings the heat alongside producer Sarz on "Back Outside", and Victony rounds out the Nigerian showing with "SLICK".

The spread across solo cuts, producer collabs, and cross-genre features says a lot about where Nigerian music sits in 2026. It is not one sound or one lane anymore. The full list is live on Apple Music now, and it is worth a full listen to see which of these tracks you slept on.
