A cow-print shearling jacket at a Nollywood premiere, silver-buckled flares, and head-to-toe sequins in magenta. The red carpet at the Tele x Zikora premiere was exactly as wild as the "rave glam" dress code promised, and honestly, we expected nothing less.
The film comes from writer, producer, and director Adenike Adebayo-Esho. It is a campus romance set at the fictional Lagos Metropolitan University, following two young people from very different worlds whose lives collide. The premiere served as a celebration ahead of the film's cinema release on 23 October 2026, and the evening's theme gave guests all the excuse they needed to take real style risks.
Sophia Chisom served one of the night's most unexpected combinations. She showed up in a royal blue longline coat over a matching top with a white collar and cuffs, then grounded it all with a burnt-orange wrap mini skirt. An orange beret, star drop earrings, and white knee-high boots pulled everything together into a look that had no business working as well as it did.
Mike Afolarin went for a different kind of fun. His cow-print shearling jacket over a black top and dark grey flared jeans with silver side-buckle details kept things cool without trying too hard. A dark cap sealed it, proof that rave glam does not always have to shout.
Genoveva Umeh was the one doing the shouting, and we are grateful. She wore a magenta and rose-pink sequin dress with structured shoulders and an asymmetrical skirt full of long, shredded ribbons that caught every movement. Deep pink tights and metallic heels completed the moment. If the rest of the cast dressed this well for the premiere, we cannot wait to see what opening night looks like.
