The Okoya family has stepped forward to challenge claims made by Fatai Okoya about his relationship with billionaire Razaq Okoya, and they are not holding back.
According to the family, Fatai is not the firstborn child as he has suggested, but the third child. They also pushed back on his account of being cut off, stating that Fatai received four flats along with additional benefits from the family.
The family went further to deny that Shade Okoya, Razaq's wife, blocked Fatai from accessing his father. In their telling, the estrangement did not happen the way Fatai described it publicly.
With two very different stories now on the table, the question of what actually happened inside one of Nigeria's most prominent families is very much still open.
