Nigeria's federal government is pressing 15 states to move faster on Ebola preparedness, with health officials calling for urgent action to put proper response mechanisms in place.
The push comes after 21 states had already updated their Ebola response plans, leaving nearly a third of the country still working to catch up. Mr Pate, the official who addressed the matter, confirmed the gap and made clear that the remaining states are expected to move without delay.
With the groundwork already laid in more than half the country, the question now is how quickly those 15 states will close the distance.
