Ciara Turns the Fashion Scholarship Fund Gala Into a Family Affair With a Purpose

Ciara kept things simple and intentional at the 2026 Fashion Scholarship Fund Gala, showing up as an honoree, a fashion girl and a mum all at once. She and Russell Wilson were celebrated at the FSF’s 89th annual gala at The Glasshouse in New York, and they brought two of their kids, Future and Sienna, along for the night, turning the red carpet into more of a family moment than a solo star turn.

On the carpet, Ciara wore sharp Willy Chavarria tailoring that sat nicely in a room full of designers, execs and young scholarship winners, while Russell kept to a clean, classic suit. The looks weren’t overly fussy, but they photographed well and matched the tone of an event that’s glitzy but still rooted in education and opportunity. You can see the family’s arrival and outfits in Vogue’s gallery from the night here.

Inside, the couple were honoured for their work with the Why Not You Foundation, which focuses on education and youth empowerment—an easy fit with the Fashion Scholarship Fund’s mission. Speaking on the carpet, Ciara said, “We want kids to dream as big as we did,” a line that sat well in a room full of FSF and Virgil Abloh “Post‑Modern” scholars receiving more than $1.9 million in scholarships toward fashion careers.

The gala also spotlighted stylist Law Roach and PVH Corp. CEO Stefan Larsson, but Ciara’s presence helped bridge the gap between pop culture and the industry side of fashion. With 67 percent of this year’s scholars identifying as Black, Indigenous or people of colour and many being first‑generation college students, having someone like Ciara on that stage underlined the point of the night: visibility, access and making sure fashion’s future looks broader than its past.
