Spears Books has signed Cameroonian author Juliana Makuchi Nfah-Abbenyi, who writes under the pen name Makuchi, for a new short story collection titled Woman of the Lake. The book is set for release in the summer of 2026.
Nfah-Abbenyi is a familiar name in Cameroonian and African diaspora literary circles, and this collection marks her next chapter with Spears Books as her publishing home.
