Temba Bavuma walked out when South Africa needed him most, and he delivered. The Proteas captain played an epic knock on day three of their Test series against Australia, pulling his side back into a match that had started to slip away from them.
The big question now sitting in every cricket fan's mind: did South Africa bat on too long? With time a precious resource in Test cricket, every extra over at the crease is a calculated gamble, and some are already wondering whether the team left themselves enough overs to push for a result.
What is not in doubt is Bavuma's class under pressure. His innings gave the Proteas a fighting chance they simply did not look like having before he took charge of the situation.
Whether South Africa have enough time to take ten Australian wickets and win is the question that will keep fans on the edge of their seats as the final days of this Test unfold.
