Max Air is back in the air. The Aviation Ground Handlers Association of Nigeria announced on Friday that it has lifted its suspension of the airline following fresh negotiations and a partial payment toward outstanding debts.
In a statement, AGHAN said the decision came after Max Air re-engaged with its members and made a formal commitment to resolving its full debt profile. The partial payment was enough to restore confidence and get operations moving again.
Whether Max Air follows through on the rest of that commitment is the question passengers and industry watchers will be watching closely.
