Three weeks at number one on Nigeria's Official Top 100, 900,000 streams in the United States during a single tracking week, and a spot on his sophomore album STARLIFE. Victony's "Slick" has had quite a year since dropping in July 2026, and it is not done yet.
The Afrobeats singer has confirmed that a remix of the record is arriving at midnight on Friday, October 16, 2026, and the features are anything but quiet. American R&B singer Summer Walker and rapper Don Toliver are both on the new version, two artists whose fan bases stretch well across the mainstream US market.
The original "Slick" already reached number two on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart, holding that position for three consecutive weeks. That kind of crossover traction, combined with its dominance back home, made it the highest-charting track on STARLIFE following the album's release. A remix with this lineup could push those numbers even further.
The question now is whether Summer Walker and Don Toliver can carry "Slick" into entirely new rooms, the kind of playlists and radio slots that Afrobeats tracks do not always crack. Friday midnight will be the answer.
