A bird strike at Kano airport has forced Air Peace to ground one of its aircraft, leaving passengers momentarily stranded as the airline scrambled to sort out the situation.
Air Peace has since deployed an alternative aircraft to cover the affected route, saying the move is aimed at keeping disruption to a minimum and getting passengers to their destinations safely.
Bird strikes are more common than most travelers realize, and airlines are required to pull any affected aircraft from service until a full safety inspection is completed. It is a standard protocol, but one that can ripple quickly through a flight schedule.
For now, Air Peace says the situation is being managed. Whether affected passengers faced significant delays is something the airline has not yet detailed publicly.
