Zlatan Ibile and Davita Omoniyi marked their traditional wedding day by stepping out in coordinated Edo cultural attire, styled by Goodnews Emmanuel Icon. The Afrobeats star, born Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, and his bride chose to honour Davita's Edo heritage from the very first look, and the results were something special.
Davita came through as a full Edo bride in a custom burgundy gown by Dova Bridals. The corseted mermaid silhouette featured a curved sweetheart neckline, sheer long sleeves, and a sweeping side train. Red crystal beads formed lattice patterns across the gown, and she finished the look with a traditional Okuku braided crown, layers of coral necklaces, a black horsehair fly whisk, and a sheer crimson veil draped over her crown.
Zlatan matched her energy beautifully. He wore a custom cream robe by Deji and Kola, layered under a textured ivory coat with hand-stitched red beadwork along the shoulders and hem. Layers of coral beads, an ivory ceremonial cap, and a carved wooden staff rounded out his look. The shared red details between their outfits made it clear this was a couple who planned together and showed up together.
The photographs of them holding hands and Zlatan kissing Davita's hand say everything about the mood of the day. If this first look is any indication, the rest of the celebration is going to be stunning.
