Thousands of residents turned out in Nsukka for a victory walk organised by a group called "Tomorrow is Here," moving through several communities in the district to drum up support ahead of 2027.
The mobilisation was focused on building early momentum for the re-election campaigns of Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State and President Bola Tinubu at the federal level.
With 2027 still on the horizon, the Nsukka show of numbers signals that political groundwork in the Southeast is already well underway.
